What is a bottom cleaning nozzle and how does it work?

To clean and unclog a pipe, the essential tool is a nozzle. It works by directly injecting high-pressure water into the pipe. There’s a specific nozzle for every type of problem.

Choosing the right nozzle depends on how you’ll use it—whether for general cleaning in residential homes, removing grease, or clearing blockages caused by cement or other debris in complex sewer systems.

Selecting the ideal model boosts the device’s performance and cleaning power, improving the working capacity of the jetting system.

How Does a Jetting Nozzle Work?

Through a device with enthalpy capacity—in other words, a converter of thermal energy into kinetic energy. The result impacts the fluid pressure used in jet propulsion systems and turbomachinery.

As the nozzle’s cross-section narrows, the fluid speed increases, allowing water to be propelled at high pressure through the pipe. This process lowers the temperature while preserving energy.

Dragging – Bottom Cleaning Nozzles

These are the most commonly used for cleaning pipes when the goal is to remove solid sediments like mud, silt, sand, or gravel.

They operate with a high-pressure water system to dislodge debris and are specially designed to provide a high dragging capacity for flat, heavy materials by emitting jets at various angles.

They’re also known as “final cleaning” nozzles due to their strong thrust power and are typically used in the final stage of pipe cleaning. They have a single jet and a higher flow rate than other nozzles.

We design, manufacture, and distribute innovative tools for pipe cleaning and unclogging. We advise cleaning professionals on choosing the right nozzle for each specific application.
